Frequently asked questions
Which routes does Intercity Xpress serve?
Supplier route records include Johannesburg to Harare; Harare to Johannesburg; Johannesburg to Cape Town. These are recorded route examples, not a promise of service on every date. Use live search for departures and seats.
How much are Intercity Xpress tickets?
There is no fixed fare quoted in this guide. Intercity Xpress prices depend on the route, date, service and number of travellers. Choose your journey in HambaNow’s live bus search and check the final quote before payment.
How do I contact Intercity Xpress?
Published contact numbers: +27108229000. Email: customercare@intercity.co.za. See the linked official source for details. HambaNow is not the operator’s official website.
Can I change or cancel a Intercity Xpress booking?
Contact the seller that issued your ticket before departure and have the booking reference ready. Eligibility, deadlines, fees and any fare difference depend on the selected ticket’s conditions. This guide does not promise free changes or automatic refunds.
What baggage can I take on Intercity Xpress?
Check the baggage allowance on the specific ticket before buying. Ask about the number of bags, total weight, oversized items and excess charges. A brand name or coach class is not enough to establish a confirmed allowance.
Do children or cross-border passengers need documents?
Carry the identification required by the operator. For an international journey, each traveller needs the relevant passport, visa or entry permission; requirements depend on nationality and every country crossed. Children may need additional documentation or consent. Verify with official immigration sources and the operator before buying; a bus ticket does not grant entry.
